Guar Korma in dairy cattle feed

Dr. Umesh Sontakke

In phase I, five TMR's were prepared by mixing green, wheat straw and concentrate in the ratio of 40:20:40. TMR's containing guar meal replacing groundnut cake at 0(T0), 25(T1), 50(T2), 75(T3) and 100 %(T4) in concentrate were incubated for 48 hrs in an in-vitro study. The parameters such as IVTDMD, IVTOMD, total gas, methane production, NH3-N, TCA PPt-N, partitioning factor, microbial biomass production, TVFA and IVFA were determined. All the treatments were repeated thrice in triplicate.
